This year’s Malta trip was the third for some of us and the first or second for others. For those people though it was to be the first time they were able to run it due to the hurricane and storm, the like of which Malta had never seen, that just happened to hit the island on Marathon Day 2019 which forced the cancellation. So, we all felt like we were owed some decent weather this year!

I was delighted to be asked by Heidi to be part of her team to raise funds for the amazing charity Spread a Smile. Heidi has been a loyal member of the club since we set it up so we were devastated to hear that her 9 year old daughter Trixie had a brain tumour.

BFC Member and Wiggle UX Designer Mike Daniels is a seasoned half-marathon runner. When his sister was diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago, he challenged himself to run the marathon and raise money for Breast Cancer Now. He has managed to raise just over £1300 so far and is still accepting donations on his JustGiving page.
