Parkrun report from 20th October
A very quick parkrun report from 20th October (and a little extra from the week before). Only 2 venues and most either missing it, going careful or volunteering. Your next report should be the GSR with Kev's brilliant spreadsheet saving hours of time.
A total of 221 runners took part at Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun event #129, where Barbara Hathaway ran a new Lakeside and APPB (All parkrun PB, a new acronym for me) by 0:16. Excellent time Barbara in your 134th parkrun.

A total of 344 runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #265. Volunteers included Andy Seek, Alice Bird, Dan Slayford, Janet Sampson, Katherine Newell, Dean Schubert, Kam Fan, Robert Turner-diamond and Kev Budd. The route was moved slightly to the east to accommodate the Great South 5k taking place an hour later. We all assembled on the beach for the pre-run briefing.
There was a debut for Richard Stevens and a new PB by Victoria Parsons by 2:01. Darren Matthews ran with Jenson in his buggy, Rebecca Niles ran her 3rd fastest out of 83 @ Southsea, Cat Underwood her 3rd best of 26 here too.Billy Jules Bilton ran his best since May.
Both Rebecca Niles and Keith Caunt have milestone runs next time, 100 and 150 respectively.

Finally, from the weekend previous to this (14th Oct), I know Helen Mayhead is preparing something from the Royal Parks Half, but in the Great Birmingham Run (Half) Kelvin Howard ran a PB in 1:38:32, Janet Sampson ran 75:50 in the Goodwood 10k on the Motor Racing Circuit, and in the Denmead 10k, Darren Matthews ran 52:22, Martin James Coumbe 57:25, Lisa Duke 63:04 and Barbara Hathaway 53:05.
