Parkrun report from 8th December 2018

Firstly I have put a short review of the Gosport Half Marathon from 18th November on our website under Blog-Race Reports. This parkrun report from 8th December will also be on there later. A few missed parkrun as they were taking part in the following day's Santa Runs along Southsea Seafront. 

A total of 138 runners took part at Krakow event #288 Pride of place goes to Colin Edwards who was our first runner in Poland as far as I can see.

And finally a total of 265 runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #272 where there was a very strong westerly wind making things very difficult to get a fast time. Anyone within 60-90 seconds of their PB did well. This makes the only PB for a Baffins runner by Karen Maund a great run by taking 01:16 off her previous time. Lou Whitehead (only 00:19 down and Martin Biddle (only 00:57 down) were stand-out times too along with our 1st finisher Paul Ingleby. Volunteers included Liam John Bradshaw,and Katherine Newell. Michael Rae was 17th best age-graded time after running a few miles before the parkrun and I was 4th best. The bacon and egg sandwich and tea in the Deep Blue on the Pier were very welcome after this breezy run.
