A little later than usual, here is the parkrun report from Saturday 2nd March. A total of 637 (2nd most after New Year's Day 2019) runners took part at Swindon parkrun event #439

A total of 305 runners took part at Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun event #148. Local legend James Baker won but was pushed by 2 others this time. Our Louise Griffin was 4th lady in a Lakeside PB by 00:09 and only 00:04 outside her best at Southsea. This was also in the middle of a 30k training run too! Great running. Husland Paul Griffin ran quick time too, his 4th best here. Lee Collier-Williams ran a 00:26 Lakeside PB-under 25:00 at last! Well run Lee. Dave Ollie Oliver was only 00:03 outside his Lakeside best, Neil Priddle ran a Lakeside PB by 1:26, Zoe Fitzgerald an Lakeside PB by 1:08 and Kim Biggs a Lakeside best of 0:13 (her 4th best anywhere). Some great performances there.Colin Edwards, Gary Seaman and Dan Slayford were volunteering.

A total of 507 (3rd most) runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #286. It was into quite a strong breeze on the return leg, so times were a bit down for most. However, if you have registered on Run Britain Rankings with your parkrun ID, they grade the difficulty of each run depending on the conditions each week, so in a strong wind, a slower time but a good effort can lower your handicap.

39 BFC here! Becky Johns ran 01:10 PB, Richard Wade a best by 1:43 Reuben Hanson ran a fast debut here, and Nikki Tout her 4th best out of 31. Fiona Shaw ran her fastest since August 2016! Kirsty Davidson also ran a good time, her best for some 10 months. I managed to continue my recent improvement with 4th best age-graded time. There was a debut for Clarke, Cat's boyfriend. I knew she would get him running soon! Also Lucy Hunt ran her 3rd fastest in these conditions.
