A total of 132 runners took part at Colwick parkrun event (Nottingham) #431.

A total of 204 runners took part at a wet and slippery Eastleigh parkrun event #481. Three of our Baffins runners who've been mates for over 20 years ran here and Paul Griffin ran a PB at this course by 7:28!! although I suspect Paul was pacing someone previously. Still, apart from wife Louise Griffin it was the fastest BFC time here.

A total of 274 runners took part at Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun event #182. Here Colin Edwards ran his 100th parkrun and has written a report on the Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun web page if you would like to read it. Kevin Rowsell ran his 50th with daughter Katie.

There were PBs here for Geoffrey Newman 0:12 and Alex Yorke 0:08. Steve Cross continued his recent good times only 0:15 outside his best here.

A much diminished total of 255 (smallest this year) runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #318. This was due to 2 factors mainly; The windy weather and the Rugby World Cup Semi-Final between England and New Zealand kicking off at the same time.

The times were therefore mostly much slower than normal with the return leg being totally different to the outward leg. Emma Jolley was first female finisher. Paul Harrison ran his 100th parkrun. In the Age-Graded times, Emma Jolley was 1st with 74.75%, I was 2nd with 73.66 and Fiona Shaw 5th with 71.08. There was a gathering of Vegan Runners including our own Denyse King. Of note were the times of Ian Briscoe and Helen Mayhead which were not so far off their best in the westerly wind.

Volunteers included Verity-Jayne Walton Daniel Walton Andy Seek Duncan Gardner Helen Mayhead Keith Caunt Kate English Kevin Aylward Martyn Threader Sarina Collis and Run Director our very own Kev Budd who delivered a typical Kev Budd pre-run briefing!

I also saw that Dan Slayford has won and been 2nd in Salisbury parkruns this month and also won Mountbatten School (Romsey).
