parkrun Review 29th February 2020
The first Leap Year parkrun (next one is in 28 year's time!!)
A total of 500 ( 2nd highest) runners took part at Hagley (Christchurch, New Zealand) parkrun event #287, where Ben O'Shea was out first runner and first to finish of all Baffins runners at all parkruns this week. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, gravel paths and grass.

Here Chantelle Ash (1:38) and Kirsty Jestins (0:23) ran PBs in another windy run. It wasn't as bad as last week as Run Britain graded it 3.6 difficulty compared to 8.2 last week. The previous 3 here were 3.6, 2.2 and 4.0. The number of runners is well down due to the weather here.
Billy Jules Bilton, Verity-Jayne Walton, Katherine Newell and Liam John Bradshaw were volunteers.
Please consider volunteering especially if you are injured or racing the following day. You are still involved with such a great event that could not happen without the volunteers. Some can also run such as Token-Sorting and First Timer's Briefing.
In the Age-Graded times, Steven Parker was 6th and I was 3rd.
