parkrun review 9th October 2021
So, here's a little smoething for you to peruse while getting your GSR kit ready. It's the parkrun review from 9th October 2021.
A total of 758 runners took part at Southampton parkrun event #410. Usually the 2nd highest attendance each week of all UK parkruins. Sonny Locke was pacing someone I assume??

A total of 336 runners took part at Hampstead Heath parkrun event #469, (usually woodland paths and concrete) where the Griffins were in attendance. Martyn Threader and myself are the other BFC runners who have run here. Mine was on course 3 due to the Relay for Life and a circus making the 2 others out of bounds. There was also another detour I remember as a lake was being upgraded.

A total of 383 runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #351
Southsea's numbers seem to have settled down at about this amount. Conditions were good. We had 3 amazing PBs. Ian Briscoe who has been threatening a PB for a while now knocked 15 secs off his 23 month-old record. Michael Rae was trying to catch him and ran one of his fastest for a while. Rebecca Niles (7th female finisher) who is in great form knocked 4 secs off hers from January 2020. It is only 6 secs off her APPB at Torbay Velopark 2 weeks ago. Also Kirsty Williams smashed 34 secs off her 2 1/2 year old record. It was also a 4 secs APPB.
Myself, Amanda Simpson and Michael Rae were 6th, 8th and 9th respectively in the age-graded percentages.
