The course is just on the west side of the River Avon in Bristol. Eric De Greef is now our fastest here.It is an interesting up and down course as explained below.

Ashton Court parkrun is a simple out and back course, starting and finishing on the main service road 250m beyond the mansion, and following well made paths to a turning point close to the Ashton Court quarry. The first and last 1.3km is run on a tarmac service road (closed to motor traffic, except authorised park vehicles). The middle 2.4 km is on a wide stone/gravel path, generally well drained although the top of the course is subject to potholes resulting in puddles after heavy rain. From the start to the turning point there is an ascent of around 100m. This is mostly a steady climb, although two short stretches are quite steep. Nobody should be put off by this. There is no shame in walking the steep bits - they’re always followed by some respite and at the turning point you’re rewarded with fantastic views over Bristol and the surrounding countryside, and the promise of 2.5km downhill to the finish.

A total of 193 runners took part at Highbury Fields parkrun event #484

I was our 1st runner here (after The Killers concert the night before at Arsenal's ground) just 2 stops up the Victoria Line from Euston. Highbury Fields parkrun is an anti-clockwise 5-lap course (not as boring as it may sound) that goes around the bottom part of Highbury Fields (Highbury Place and Highbury Crescent). I really had to concentrate on how many laps I'd run as my watch did not pick up GPS at the start!

Smaller number due to the Queen's Platunum Jubilee.

The course is two anti-clockwise laps of the Western half of Lloyd Park starting and finishing at the Lloyd Park Pavillion close to Lloyd Park tram stop. The course follows the perimeter of the Lloyd Park games fields and then the paths through the adjacent mixed parkland, past a Frisbee golf course and with a short climb to the highest point in the park before returning to the games fields to finish with a leg past the local Bowling Green and tennis courts.
