A total of 32 ( not far off their highest figure of 38!!!)runners took part for parkrun de la Ramée event #257
La Ramée Sports and Leisure Centre, 95 Chemin de Larramet, 31 170 Tournefeuille, to the west of Toulouse. Course on grass, path, dirt. Certain sections of the course may be muddy.
First loop
The starting point is between the car park and the rowing pool, on the path. We follow the path by the lake for 1 km. Then we find ourselves facing barriers before a lane for cars, we turn right, we run in the grass, arrival facing the wood, we turn right again, then about 200m further, right again, we we take a path, different from the one that runs along the lake, this one makes us turn left to go down to our starting point. About 200m before the starting point we take a parallel path, arriving opposite the car park, we turn left to enter the woods.
second loop
Once in the woods, 50m further turn left again to follow a small path in the woods. We run about 1 km until we arrive in front of the car lane, we turn left, then we are again in the grass, more in the woods, about 200m further we turn left and take the path to go down at the starting point 1 km further.
Chris Mathews, Tina Mathews, Lisa Cross, Steve Cross, Kevin Rowsell and Maria Rowsell all made their debuts here in France. They are our 1st runners here. It's a smallish parkrun so that incredibly BFC are the 6th most represented club here.

A total of 155 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #23. Nearby Southsea was cancelled due to the Southsea Rowing Regatta (which ironically was also cancelled late on due to high winds! Who could possibly imagine it being windy on the seafront!)
We had a few from Southsea visiting for the 1st time. Sonny Locke was 5th male and Shelley Locke 3rd, Helen Mayhead 8th, Becci Knowles 5th and Laura Richardson 9th were all in the top 10.
The fastest BFC time here was lowered to 19:55 last week by Sonny Locke who has bettered this record this week.
There were course PBs for Sonny Locke 40 secs, me 3 secs and I was very happy to get 1st in the Age-Grades, Geoff Newman 37 secs, Brenda Bradshaw 1:01, Liam John Bradshaw 29 secs, Nikki Wright 432 secs & 3rd in a row, Alison Newman 34 secs, Jacquie Jones 4:57!!!
Some who were close to their fastest were Alex Yorke, Robert Duncan Clayton, Ian Briscoe, Jason Smith & Ian Saynor. Shelley Locke and Vicky Cooper made their debuts.

Hopefully we enhanced our reputation as a friendly parkrun. I certainly heard good reports from 2 Basingstoke runners, one of whom was running his 583rd parkrun. It was good to see some familiar Southsea faces, with Robert Turner-diamond coming up from the seafront to volunteer.
Volunteers were:
Julie ALLAN, Kevin AYLWARD, Warren BARKER, Robert BILTON, Ian BRISCOE, Kev BUDD, James COLLIER, Kate ENGLISH, Rebecca KNOWLES, Kitty LI, Helen MAYHEAD, Nikki POPOVA, Brett RUMFITT, Carol SEYMOUR, Aoife SHOVLIN, Jason SMITH, Nigel SO, Debbie SPICER, Robert TURNER-DIAMOND, Richard WALKER, Dan WARREN-HOLLAND, John WEBSTER, Samuel Sam Winton We need volunteers each week and you can even do some roles and also run.
We have the most runners here unsurprisingly at 93, followed by Victory AC 42 and Fareham 36.
