We began with a minute's applause for Dave Hawkins who sadly died revcently. Dacve was involved with Eastleigh parkrun from event 2 and also helped set up the Netley Abbey event.

A total of 178 runners took part at Rosliston parkrun event #263
The event takes place at Rosliston Forestry Centre, Burton Road, Rosliston, Swadlincote, DE12 8JX. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, compacted gravel paths and trail paths. From the start runners head up a short incline, before turning left and following the marked path as it gently twists and turns down a slope. At the bottom runners turn right and follow the path on an anticlockwise loop. The path then meanders through the Bluebell Woods and past the Greenheart Lakes before turning left and weaving uphill and anticlockwise around the perimeter of the Wooded area before turning left and down a short ‘trail’ clearing in the woods. On re-joining the path and turning right runners follow the path as it twists and turns around the meadow and back towards the Bluebell Woods. Runners will then be directed to follow the path on a clockwise loop before turning left and uphill along the winding path before finishing on the grass in front of the Visitor Centre.
