A total of 116 runners took part at Penrhyn parkrun event #297

The course is at Penrhyn Castle, Bangor. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths and gravel paths. The route involves 2 big loops and then 2 small loops. The course is mostly flat with some small undulating slopes.

The course starts outside the castle gates where you will follow the path to the left of the castle, keeping the sea on your left hand side. The path continues behind the castle where you will be guided at a cross roads to continue round further with a small incline to another path junction. The run will continue north facing where you will meet the Penrhyn park entry gates and tarmac road to then curl right and then continue towards the castle gates (start point). The small loop will then steer right of the castle gates up towards the grassy hills then down a slope to greet the junction that you came to on your first big loop. The finishing line is finishing is just beyond the 19th Century neo-norman castle gates.

One of the most beautiful and picturesque runs of North Wales

This was Alisha Gray's 1st parkrun (and our 1st here) and what a beautiful setting to run it at.

Finally, a total of 439 runners took part at Bournemouth parkrun event #394

This was a bit like a smaller Bushy start with about 40 lined up alongside each other funnelling on the grass to a path about 100m on. The course is by Kings Park Athletic Stadium, Bournemouth. The football ground is nearby. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, grass and off-road paths. The course consists of one small lap and two large laps with a short dash to take participants to the finish. It is run in an anti-clockwise direction on firm, mainly flat tarmac paths and small sections of compacted earth. There are undulations and short sections of uneven ground with tree roots to avoid. Fast times can be expected! Well mine wasn't too bad, but nowhere near our fastest here which was Jack Courtney's 19:59 Denise Courtney. This was in January 2020 and is, to date his only parkrun!
