parkrun review 8th October 2022
A total of 105 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #38 including lots of our club, many wearing orange, there to celebrate Eric De Greef running his 250th parkrun. Congratulations Eric.
Ian Briscoe, Dave Rees-Whelan and Paul Griffin were in the top 10 male finishers but Louise Griffin was first female. We also had Becci Knowles, Laura Richardson, Fiona Cfb, Fiona Shaw, Julie Allan Fuller and Helen Newman in the top 10. Geoff Newman, Laura Richardson and Ruth Collins were near their best here.
There were PBs for Hope Sea 25 secs, Nikki Wright 30 secs, Fiona Shaw 2 secs, Iza Pstrucha Nadathur 43 secs and Helen Newman 12 secs.
Jen Little and Paul Alland ran for the first time on our local course.
I was RD but forgot to mention some of the basics!! However the event, now with official parkwalkers, went well.

Finally a total of 65 runners took part at Whinlatter Forest (Lake District)parkrun event #165
Gordon becomes our fastest and only our 2nd runner here at one of the most challenging parkruns in the country. The course is at Whinlatter Forest Park, Braithwaite, Keswick. The course is run entirely on trail paths. A hilly run through Whinlatter Forest Park taking in the beautiful scenes of Derwentwater and the surrounding mountain ranges. One lap with a loop, using trail surfaces, the start and end are close to the main car park.
