parkrun review for 22nd. October 2022

Finally I have caught up, and this parkrun review is actually from the latest one on 22nd October. I have included those who are current members (as far as I know)

A total of 60 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #40 where we celebrated Billy Jules Bilton who has volunteered on 85 occasions, many at Great Salterns since it started in January. He is moving up north to his native Hartlepool, but will be down to see us occasionally.

Louise Griffin and Emily Smith were both in the top 10 females and Richard Walker, myself and Jason Smith the top 10 males. In the Age-Graded percentages, Jason Smith was 7th, Louise Griffin 6th, Richard Walker 5th and I was 2nd.

On a wetter course, Richard Walker was actually FIRST male and not far off his best time and Jen Little ran a 2:07 PB with Alex Marathon a 47 sec best and Emily Smith 22 secs better than before.

It's run in Alice Holt Forest, Bucks Horn Oak, Hampshire GU10 4LS and run on a mixture of tarmac paths, trail paths and gravel roads. There is an extremely long and detailed course description on their page.

A total of 134 runners took part at Lochore Meadows parkrun event #147. Terrie Ann Brown is our 1st runner here in Scotland. The course is at Lochore Meadows Country Park, Lochore. The course is run entirely on trail paths. One lap of Loch Ore in an anti-clockwise direction on the main trail path. The route starts at the Willie Clarke Visitor Centre and finishes near the Outdoor Education Centre.
