A total of 298 runners took part at a very wet and windy Southsea parkrun event #413. It was one of the most difficult in my 280-odd parkruns here. A few did the Pebbledash after at 10:30! Not me this year after warming up in The Briny. No PBs of course, but I was pleased to get the 1st in Age-Graded Percentages.

The course is at Stormont Estate, Belfast. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, gravel paths and trail paths. This is a two lap course set in the grounds of the Northern Ireland Assembly. It comprises a run through attractive woodland and parkland which are overlooked by Parliament Buildings.
The route starts on the main Prince of Wales Avenue approximately 400 metres from the front gate. You will set off in the direction of the front gates and turn right on to a gravel trail on the right just before the gate.
Follow the trail through the trees in an anti-clockwise direction, returning towards the front gates. Cross Prince of Wales Avenue and follow the tarmacked path to the Mo Mowlam Play Park. Turn left immediately before the play park and stay right on gravel trails skirting the Stormont Estate boundary, with football and cricket pitches on your right. This gravel trail brings you to back to Prince of Wales Avenue.
On Prince of Wales Avenue, turn left towards the front gates and repeat the lap.
The finish is at the security barrier on Prince of Wales Avenue.

The course is at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield. Starting at Banners Gate the course firstly takes us along trail paths and across a small wooden bridge, we then turn right along Lord Donegal’s Ride and up a steep gravel bank. We then continue on trail paths up to the Jamboree Memorial stone where we move onto tarmac. This is followed by a short out and back section before heading to the Model Aircraft Flying Field where we switch to grass and a downhill finish arriving at Longmoor Pool. The finish area is 250m from the start area and close to car parking. If running with a buggy we highly recommend that this is a specific running buggy due to the uneven nature of the paths.
Hannah is our 1st runner here.

There was actually a PB here for Sam. Only 3 secs, but in those difficult conditions it was worth more. Sam has PB'd 5 times in succession and 8 of his 9 runs here.
