A total of 52 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #56

As conditions dry out a little, Emma Montiel was only 3 seconds behind her female course record. Kitty Amelia Li was 8th female in her 3rd best time. Alex Marathon was only 2 secs behind his PB. Carol Carberry walked a 1:25 PB.

John Bucketsofrain had the 3rd best Age-Graded Percentage 72.39% of the whole field.

A total of 466 runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #418

Although conditions have improved lately, it was noticeable that Fiona Shaw (best since September 2021) and Laura Richardson (best since May 2022) ran very well. Helen Newman ran a 1:15 PB and 8 secs better than any of her parkruns elsewhere too. Of course, the common factor here is Eric De Greef and his Southsea Strider sessions which seem to be paying off.

Nicola Carlile Chinnery ran her 3rd PB in a row, this time by 1:03.

Tidworth parkrun consists of a 3 lap route around the edge of the park. The course is predominantly on grass and is set in open terrain and therefore has good visibility of the start/finish area throughout most sections. The course is mainly run over grass with a short section along a wooded tree line.

A total of 97 runners took part at Wormwood Scrubs parkrun event #529. On a huge field at the back of HM Prison and Hammersmith Hospital. There is a nature reserve (off limits to us on the day as very muddy and saving damage to it) and football and Gaelic sports pitches. The temporary course was 2.75 laps all on wet, soggy grass with muddy patches.

I was our 1st runner here and got 5th best in the Age-Graded Percentages.
