BFC Members parkrun review February 25th 2023
I include all that I can easily identify as members who ran this week. A few run under their other club names, some with no club on their parkrun profile.
A total of 66 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #60
where there were many good performances and a new female course record by Claire Caiger for the 2nd week running. She took 35 seconds off Emma Montiel's record the previous week and another 36 secs off this week!
Paul Griffin, myself, Jason Smith were all in the top 10 menand near our PBs and Nikki Wright (near her PB) in the top 10 women.
Alex Marathon was not far off his best here and Geoff Newman( Alison Newman) equalled his. It was good to see Warren Barker back.

Inevitably the Great Salterns male record hoilder James Baker was 1st (he's won all 60 of his runs here over the years!) however not to be outshone our Christine Mc was 1st female on her debut. She has now come 1st on 4 different parkruns.

Ian Briscoe was on tour again making his debut and finishes just 3 secs outside Jason Smith's time.
Course Description
Out and back route on part grass/part concrete coastal path with start and finish on the green outside the Perch café. Approximately the first kilometre is out and back on the grass, then up a short steep incline and onto the flat concrete coastal path for the remainder.

Kim Stroud, Jacquie Jones were 1st timers (that surprised me as it would seem to be their sort of parkrun?), Liam John Bradshaw was near his best, Brenda Bradshaw ran a 16 sec PB, James Yorke ran a 4:37 PB!! and Laura Hyman Olsen a 2:27 PB!
