A total of 75 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #62. We welcomed 9 visitors from New Forest Runners.

James Baker (course record holder) was 1st as he has been in all 8 runs here. Random fact. James has been 1st in 312 of his 321 parkruns! The guy in 2nd ran his fastest for over 3 years at any parkrunand was still over 2 minutes behind. Paul Osborne, myself and Jason Smith were all in the top 10.

Paul Osborne ran a 7 sec PB on a course that was muddier than it has been for a few weeks. Liam John Bradshaw was not far off his best time. Julie Allan Fuller was 7th female.

In the Age-Graded Percentages, I was 3rd and Paul Osborne 5th.

A total of 112 runners took part at Sandhurst Memorial parkrun event #90

On what was decribed as a difficult course, Paul Alland and Paul Griffin made their debuts before an Army reunion weekend of mostly drinking?? Paul Alland ran his best for 18 months and Paul Griffin was 6th finisher.

The course is at Sandhurst Memorial Park, Sandhurst. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, woodland paths and grass. Sandhurst is nestled in the corner of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey

The course starts along a tarmac path towards the balancing pond, it follows the edge until it bears right and follows the path. After a short distance you turn left over a wooden bridge until the junction in the paths where you turn left again. Follow the path along, through a small patch of trees then as you exit you will see the pond again. Bear right here and follow the path around the pond to a metal bridge, go over the bridge and bear left to follow the same path around the pond as you did at the start. This time when you bear right go straight ahead over the river bridge, bear left and follow the stony path all the way down the river to the next bridge. Go left over this bridge, turn right onto the grass and through the gap in the hedge at the far end. Keep following stoney path at around the edge of the field until you come to the tarmac path, turn left onto the path and then turn right running along the river again. At the path junction bear right and go through the gap in the hedge back to the balancing pond. Carry on to the metal bridge and go back towards the river again for a second time. Once back at the metal bridge go over the bridge and turn right along the tarmac path to the finish.
