Brett's parkrun review for 22nd April 2023

We begin in London, by the ExCel centre where Marathon runners pick up their numbers and, like me visit the Expo and spend money on things they probably didn't really need!

This is twice their previous highest number. Alex Yorke ( a runner in the marathon) and Gemma Hoare (supporter) made their debuts.

Paul Osborne was 7th male only 1 sec outside his course record time. Julie Allan Fuller was 3rd female, Jen Little ran her 3rd successive PB, this time by 1:07 and there was a PB for Robert Marsh by 21 secs. Iza Pstrucha Nadathur was 10th female.

We still need volunteers for 29th April namely another tailwalker, marshals and another timekeeper.

Course Description

This parkrun is breathtaking in more ways than one! Each section has uphill and downhill elements and all offer stunning views of the Jurassic coastline stretching to Portland in the west, Poole and Bournemouth in the east and south to the Isle of Wight.

The course consists of three sections which are all different and all start and finish by the Castle. Becci Knowles was our 1st runner here in what looks like spectacular scenery, in 6th female place.

Course Description

Out and back course along the Esplanade between Orcombe Point and the Cavendish Hotel. Starting and finishing outside Ocean Exmouth.

Fiona Shawwas 10th female on her debut. Jason Smith is still our fastest here. Fiona Shaw is usually in the top 5 Age-Graded Percentages, but their were alot of more mature top runners on the day as she was 16th. The highest was 100.59% a 60-64 year old woman in 19:51!

Course Description
The course is out and back, starting and finishing at the same point. Heading west and down to the potomac, parkrunners follow the inside path up to the children's playground where the route turns right passing the boating lake and cafe and follows the outside path all the way back up to the start.
