I made my debut and was pleased with my 10th place and 3rd in the Age Grades. I spied a guy in a 25 parkrun volunteer shirt from my hotel room, so decided to follow him as I wasn't sure of the best way to get there. Turned out he only started in October and is doing all the Scottish parkruns with a new one each week!

The course is at the Speyside Way, Dalfaber Drive, Aviemore. The course is run entirely on trail paths.
Course Description
This is an undulating out and back course on a scenic stretch of the Speyside Way. The surface is a (compacted) gravel track and the area varies from broadleaved woodland at the beginning, to coniferous forest and then finally heather moorland. Very scenic.
The run brief will take place at the start of the track which leads away from the industrial estate. Participants will then walk under a railway bridge(around 100m) to the start/ finish on the Speyside Way.
At the 2.5k turn bollard, take a second to look to the left to admire the mountain view over the Cairngorm National Park.

At Great Salterns a total of 93 runners took part.
