A total of 196 runners took part at Grovelands parkrun, Enfield, North London event #602. Enter through any of the park entrances and head for the lake (very visible) the start is on the north side of the lake. and is slightly undulating, entirely on tarmac footpath.
Course Description
Our course is 2 3/4 (two and three-quarters) laps running anti-clockwise around the tarmac path of the park. We start under the trees at the north corner of the lake by the cobbled area. We run down to the tennis courts, then turn left into gradual climb up the hill. The course flattens out along the top path of the park, turns left and begins a gradual descent to pass The Priory Hospital. When we reach the pitch and putt golf course we turn a sharp left down to the lake and run alongside the west-side of it to the start again. The finish funnel is a left turn part way alongside the lake, up to a mini-roundabout, which can be seen as we run around the course.
Getting there by public transport
Grovelands Park is situated in Winchmore Hill, with the main entrance to the park in The Bourne. There is good public transport access from Southgate Circus and you can get there by buses 298, 121, 299, 611 and W6. The nearest train stations are Southgate Underground or Winchmore Hill (British Rail) Stations.

Finally a total of 500 runners took part at Burgess parkrun event #471
The course is in Burgess Park, Camberwell, London and run on tarmac paths.
I continued my parkrun adventures (none are actual parkrun tourism as such). I have just edged ahead of Jason Smith as our fastest here. There was more grass than in the course description as some works were going on meaning a couple of minor detours and sharp turns. I was pleased to get the 6th highest Age-Graded Percentage of the large 500 field. The First Timer's Brief, Graham said he'd run Great Salterns.

Course Description
We start in the gravelled area next to the tennis courts at the Camberwell New Road/Walworth Road end of Burgess Park. Please only congregate on the side closest to the tennis courts.
The first 1 km is a long straight, following the path of the Old Surrey Canal, under the underpass and the “Bridge to Nowhere”. Take the left turn at the marshal, and then go left again to join a straight path, past the Community Centre, through the “Valley” and onto the “Bench Turn”, where you’ll be directed to head towards the lake by a marshal. Follow the outside path alongside to the lake, up to the Old Kent Road entrance and “Tesco Turn”.
Here, take a sharp right and run through the wooded section, and turn onto the inside path of the lake. When you reach the top of the lake, go straight on, before bearing left and heading back the way you came originally, past the marshal at the “Bench Turn”. Take a right return to the first marshal, turn left and complete the hairpin at the far end of the Old Surrey Canal. Head back along the long straight, under the “Bridge to Nowhere” and through the Underpass. Shortly after the Underpass, take a left off the main path, before turning right onto the grass at the marshal and heading to the finish.
The course is almost entirely run on tarmac, except the final 80 metres. It’s very flat, barring a few short undulations at the Underpass and Tesco Turn. It’s buggy-friendly and dog-friendly too.
Getting there by public transport
Buses12, 35, 40, 42, 45, 68, 148, 171, 176, 468 all stop on Camberwell Road / Albany Road next to park.
Tube Nearest tube is Elephant & Castle (Bakerloo and Northern lines)
Sorry if I've missed anything. I intend to only include current members, but on occasions may mention others who have achieved, that people may be interested in.
Thanks to all who volunteer to keep these events going. For Great Salterns on 17th June we could do with a Timekeeper, Scanner and Marshals.
