A total of 319 runners took part at Brockwell parkrun, Herne Hill event #551
Course Description
Brockwell parkrun course is a 5km run that starts on the path near the back of the Lido, beginning with an almost-complete anti-clockwise lap of the perimeter of the park. After passing the park bench by the Lido, the route turns left past the BMX track. The route then goes over the top of the hill and straight down, rejoining the perimeter path back towards the Lido. The finish is just after passing the Lido for the second time. All on permanent tarmac paths.
The pre-run briefing, finish and scanning take place on the hard surface between the Lido and the BMX track. The cafe is fenced off at the moment.

I made my debut here and was very pleased with the run, especially as I found I had taken Ian Briscoe's BFC record  of 22:40 set only 2 weeks ago. Ian's time had bettered Jason's previous best. It looked easy to get there on the map;straight to Brixton Tube then a 13 minute walk, but I took a couple of small detours!

However you win some, you lose some because total of 320 runners took part at Medina I.O.W. parkrun event #555

Here Richard took my best time set a year ago by a large 26 sec margin.

Course Description (Ryde Course)
We start on the green above the car park at Appley Park.
We do a loop of the green, then pick up the path at the top of the green, and follow it all the way to the promenade. We turn left, and left again to follow the path that runs through the small copse. At the end of that path, we turn right and head back to the promenade. We then turn right and run all the way along the promenade, with the beach huts on our right, until we reach the end. We then turn right, and right again to run back through 'The Moat'. At the end of 'The Moat', we head back along the promenade until we reach 'The Big Hill'. We turn left and run up the hill. We head to the end of that path and finish with a second loop of the green, this time in the opposite direction to before. Here is a recent description by a tourist:

The course was a surprise if I am honest, it was a lot more challenging than I was expecting. The start was a loop of the green which was undulating before heading down a steep path to the seafront, along the promenade and turning at the mid-point just after the cafe and a row of beach huts before heading back to the finish. The climb in the last kilometre was certainly a nice challenge. The course certainly had its variation including grass, tarmac path, with some parts of the promenade covered in sand and a small section of woodland / gravel trail. There were stunning views as well making it a great course overall.

Meanwhile Ian was making a record of his own where total of 761 runners took part at Nonsuch parkrun event #542 in Cheam, Surrey
This was a huge 58 sec PB and is the fastest by a current member.

Course Description
This parkrun is a two lap run starting adjacent to the Mansion House towards the Avenue. The course follows the tarmac road until the old Cherry Orchard Site (dog free recreation area). The couse then follows a grass track until the Mansion House is reached and this is the start of the second lap. The course is fast and flat with a mixture of surfaces - care should be taken during wet or icy conditions.

Finally, a total of 474 runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #443
Robert Marsh was near his best here, as were Carrie and Ryan. A good family day was completed with Isaac getting a 1:09 PB, and Ethan 8th best Age-Grade.

Mike had the 10th best Age-Grade.

It was good to see the Griffins both running despite recent setbacks.
