Eastbourne parkrun

A total of 311 runners took part.

Course Description

Mainly a tarmac path around Shinewater lakes. First section is on grass around a field then continues on the tarmac path around Shinewater lakes to finish off with a final lap of the field. Very flat course with the potential to get a PB every time.

The course route is around lakes & small drainage streams. Please ensure children are closely supervised and dogs are kept on a short, handheld lead.

Course Description

The course, on woodland tracks, is two anti-clockwise laps of the Western half of Lloyd Park starting and finishing at the Lloyd Park Pavillion close to Lloyd Park tram stop. The course follows the perimeter of the Lloyd Park games fields and then the paths through the adjacent mixed parkland, past a Frisbee golf course and with a short climb to the highest point in the park before returning to the games fields to finish with a leg past the local Bowling Green and tennis courts.

Upton House parkrun

A total of 363 runners took part.

Course Description

The course, on trail paths, consists of two big loops and one small loop within Upton Country Park in the order big - small - big.

To find the start and pre event brief gathering point, follow the path from car park past the tea rooms and through the gate.

Shortly after the start, turn sharp left to start the first anti-clockwise big loop which takes you downhill through woods and left onto a path which meanders through an open meadow. Towards the end of the first loop at the top of an incline you pass the finish funnel and keep straight on, passing the start point again. At the next junction, carry straight on to commence the small anti-clockwise loop. There will be runners in both directions for a short stretch at the start/end of this smaller loop so always stay right. At the top of the hill turn right to start the big loop for a second time. As you near the top of the incline on the second big loop, head left into the finish funnel on the grass.

The course is mildly undulating and offers stunning views over Holes Bay.

Route description

The route, on asphalt, consists of two laps, each 2.5 km long, located within the Zdrojowy Park. The start and finish are located near the entrance to the park at ul. Chrobry (from the north). The route runs along the park's alleys along its territory, which are marked.

Melksham parkrun

A total of 133 runners took part.

Course Description

The course, a mix of tarmac, trail and grass, is two laps, clockwise, starting alongside the children’s playpark and finishing in front of the Adventure Centre. The course includes the King George V Park in Melksham, Wiltshire, taking in the Riverside Walk and the Forest Community Centre field. It is run on hard trail paths, compacted gravel and grass, uneven in places. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain and trail shoes may be preferable in winter months. There is a narrow section so please be aware of participants in two directions and sometimes three.

The course is unsuitable for buggies and pushchairs - please contact the team in advance for further information.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at this event.

Course Description, looks very interesting!

The course is entirely run on the beach over SOFT SAND for the first section and then COMPACT SAND up to the turnaround point. Due to the proximity to the sea, seasonal tides may affect the exact ground track. Similarly sea weed and stones are likely to be encountered so care is needed.

Some good results and stats here. James (Alex Marathon) was 1st in a great new 31 sec PB, his fastest ever parkrun and the fastest BFC here (if we can count him as a member) beating Sonny Locke by 23 secs. Jack (Paul Ingleby) was 4th in a new 41 sec PB, despite getting to the start a little late, due to having to do someone else's paper round as well as his own! Dad Paul Ingleby ran a 17 sec PB, and Craig Lunn an 18 sec PB and an All parkrun PB by 6 secs.

Maria Tucker who has just joined ran a 15 sec course PB. I was also in the top 10. I also had the 2nd best Age Grade, John Bucketsofrain had the 4th best, James 6th and Jack 7th.

Kim Stroud (3rd fastest in all parkruns) and Fiona Cfb were 3rd and 8th female finishers respectively.

Near their best time here were Robert Marsh, Kim Stroud, Mahooba Rahjo, and myself.
