Brett's parkrun review for 26th August 2023
42 registered runners took part at only 5 different events this week as the holiday period nears its end.
Southsea parkrun where it was windy again I hear.

Here Laura Hyman Olsen ran another PB, her 2nd in succession, this time by 32 secs. Ian Briscoe Briscoe ran his best for a while and in fact beat this at RunWalkLocal 21:04 recently.
Ian Saynor ran his 2nd fastest parkrun.

Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun

Louise Griffin was 6th female finisher and Paul Daniel Norriswas not far off his fastest on this course. Husband Paul Griffin ran his best time here since May 2022 and his best anywhere since March 2023.
To complete a Griffin family treble, Ashleigh Moira ran a 1:15 PB, her fastest parkrun anywhere.

Great Salterns parkrun
A total of 80 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #86
2 new PBs here, Geoff Newman (Alison Newman) by 2 secs and me in 9th place, at my 32nd run here, by a surprising 27 secs. I feel I've underachieved on this course previously but been near my PB recently.
Richard Jones, Kevin Aylward and Robert Marsh weren't far off their best too.
In the Age-Graded Percentages, Richard was 6th, John Bucketsofrain 5th and I was 3rd.
