32 registered BFC runners ran at 5 events. The Gosport Half was on the following day so a few were resting.

Very wet conditions underfoot with one of our smallest turnouts, but local running legend James Baker turned up for the 11th time in our 98 events, so he must be a good judge of a course!

Alex Yorke, Nikki Wright and Maria Tucker were all in the top 10 and John Bucketsofrain had the 5th best Age-Graded Percentage.

Course Description (tarmac & paving)

The course is a flat out and back following the path along the River Usk.

Starting from the rear of The Riverfront Theatre it heads south along the river past the iconic Newport City Footbridge and beneath the George Street Bridge. From there it continues tracking the river path, under the Southern Distributor Road Bridge to the sailing ship sculptures and returns along the same route, with the finish line at The Wave sculpture.

Due to the width of the path in some places no dogs are allowed on this course.

We ask all participants, including those in wheelchairs and/or with buggies to take special care at the various bends and corners to avoid collisions with oncoming participants

Course Description

A single loop on the closed road around Holyrood Park, starting next to St Margaret’s Loch. The surface is all tarmac. There is a steep 1.5km uphill near the start and a steep 1.5km downhill in the second half of the course.
