Brett's parkrun stats review for 11th May 2024
I make it 45 BFC runners and walkers at 8 different events this week.
A total of 77 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #125
On a dry course Jack Ingleby was 1st finisher again and Dad Paul Ingleby ran a 51 sec PB. Libby Osborne and Maria Tucker were both in the top 10 female finishers. Nick Lay was near his recent PB and there was a welcome back for Alex Yorke who ran here for the 1st time since New Year's Day.
In the Age Graded Percentages, Jack Ingleby was 4th and John Bucketsofrain 5th.
A few took it easy before the Bognor Prom 10k the following day, when there were huge Personal Bests for Nick Lay, Paul Griffin and Kim Stroud.

Course Description
Two laps on a combination of tarmac through the Scenic Route and woodland trails through the forest. The start and finish are close to the café, toilets and car parks.
The start is on the grassy area (‘vista’), near the play park and between the two car parks. Turn left immediately after the play park and follow this woodland path for approx. 350 metres. At the junction, turn left onto “Princess’s Drive” (known locally as the ‘Scenic Route’) and follow this tarmacked route for approximately 800 metres. Turn left onto the wide grassy area and after approx. 100 metres turn right to enter the woodland trail. Continue straight on through the forest until you see a marshal guiding you to turn left - you will now be on the ‘yellow route’ and parallel to the ‘Scotch Belt’ road on your right. Stay on this woodland trail and turn left when you see the car park area. Keep to the left of the car park, heading back towards the grassed area (‘vista’). As you reach the grassy area, turn right and that is one lap done! Then just repeat the same lap again.
