Course Description
The course is a 5km course around Abbey Meadows, Thetford, Norfolk consisting of both pathways & grass. There are 3 restrictions on the course to prevent motor bikes. Please go through these barriers in single file. A portion of the course runs alongside the river which has no fence. When running/walking over the bridge, please keep to the left hand side.

There are 2 points to consider if you bring a pushchair/running buggy:

The grass may be hard to push a pushchair/running buggy.
The 3 restrictions on the course to prevent motor bikes (69cm, 79cm and 100cm) may be a problem for some buggies. They are easily passable for 1 runner at a time, and a single pushchair/running buggy should be OK, but please check the width of your buggy.

Course Description
This is a flat course, entirely on tarmac, encompassing two laps of the promenade parallel to the beach.
Marked by the yellow marker on the map the course starts next to the Pier/Coastguards Station, participants then head east along the promenade with the sea on your right turning just before where the promenade narrows into a single pavement opposite the Littlehampton leisure centre, then back towards the start in a clockwise direction. Participants complete one more lap before heading into the finish tunnel which is located near the start line.
There may be Saturdays where it is deemed unsuitable to run from a health and safety perspective or other events taking place on the promenade. Please keep a close eye on our news page and/or Facebook page for updates.

A total of 256 runners took part at Pavilion Gardens parkrun event #77

Becci Knowles made her debut here in Buxton and is now our 3rd fastest after the Griffins. I think I was here a few years ago in the snow but not on a parkrun day. It is quite high up in the Peak District.
