Warren Barker is our 1st runner here.

Course Description (a huge park, Verulamium Park, the Roman name for the city) It's well worth a visit as the cathedral and Museum are good too.

The course is, broadly speaking, an out and back route with two clockwise laps of a disused golf course in the middle. Gathering point is the basketball court near the children’s playground (https://what3words.com/lakes.coffee.deputy). First 350 metres are on grass along the treeline, between the football pitches towards the north, then right to the main path down to the crossroads, at which point you will go straight and then take a hard right along the hedge into the old golf course. When you enter the old golf course, you will turn left to take two clockwise laps of it. On leaving the old golf course, you will be directed towards the crossroads, then returning the way you came, straight on past the basketball court, left at the top, then back along the tree line, round the tree stump carousel and to the finish. The golf course section is undulating and entirely on grass or trail.

A total of 172 parkrunners took part at Upton Court parkrun event #543

Not to be confused with Upton parkrun near Poole or the former West Ham football ground, this is in Slough!

Course Description

The course at Upton Court parkrun is made up of two laps. The first lap is the longer one and takes in the far field. The second lap is shorter and goes straight down the tarmac road. Starting off on the grass near the path, turn left up the gradual slope and run between wild flower beds to just before the cycle path. Turn left and run on the grass keeping to the left of and following the line of the cycle path. Dogleg around a bunch of larger trees and then smaller trees to follow the hedge from the 1km marker to the end of the field. At the end of the field, turn left onto the tarmac road. Head down to a right turn (by a large conker tree) onto the field behind the school (orange line). Go to the edge of the field then turn left and left back to the road where the 2km marker is. Turn right taking care going through the gap in the barrier followed by a left turn along the cycle path. Continue along the path until you reach the rugby fields. Commence the 2nd lap by going between some low concrete/metal posts and around the left of a small copse taking you back to the start area. Repeat the first lap omitting the field behind the school and following the red line straight on down to the gate.

Tracy Strydom is our 1st runner here.
