Course Description (Stanley Park)

This is a two lap, anti-clockwise route that is mainly flat. The route is mostly tarmac with some gravel paths and section of woodland trail.

To find the start, stand with the sports arena and Cocker clock tower at your back and the enclosed 5 a side pitches to your right.

The route starts between the 5 a side pitches and hockey courts, 35m beyond the Cocker clock tower. To your left is the middle of three floodlights.

35m later take the first path to the left.

At about 200m, close to the black bin, take the path that veers to the left and passes behind the BMX track.

Continue straight towards the Model Village and the exit to the main road.

Leave the park at the Model Village and turn left to follow the park boundary along the public footpath on East Park Drive for about 250m.

Turn left at the first entrance to re-enter the park and take a sharp right onto the woodland trail. The trail is twisty and in places narrow.

After 400m of trail there is a path junction. Take the right turn and the path then bears left. After about 75m turn left onto tarmac paths by a large notice board.

The wide tarmac path heads back along the other side of the lake on the top path. Follow the wide tarmac path for about 340m. At this point the course doglegs. Turn left towards the bridges, then turn right after about 17m to rejoin the main path.

The path then continues for about 180m until it passes the rear of the boat sheds and the Crazy Golf, to the left.

At the Crazy Golf course turn slightly left, down a slope and follow the Lakeside Promenade towards the Bandstand.

The route then turns left across the front of the Bandstand for about 80m then, take the path to the right, up the gravel slope.

At the top of the gravel path take the sharp right turn which continues to the rear of the bandstand.

After about 100m turn left and head through the rose garden.

On lap one stay close to the tennis courts to the right hand side. Turn right at the pavilion towards the Cocker clock tower.

At the Cocker clock tower you turn to the left to start the second lap.

The second lap is the same as the first and finishes as you enter the rose garden.

Course Description

This is a flat course, entirely on tarmac, encompassing two laps of the promenade parallel to the beach.

Marked by the yellow marker on the map the course starts next to the Pier/Coastguards Station, participants then head east along the promenade with the sea on your right turning just before where the promenade narrows into a single pavement opposite the Littlehampton leisure centre, then back towards the start in a clockwise direction. Participants complete one more lap before heading into the finish tunnel which is located near the start line.

There may be Saturdays where it is deemed unsuitable to run from a health and safety perspective or other events taking place on the promenade. Please keep a close eye on our news page and/or Facebook page for updates.

133 48 Faye RIDGWAY Baffins Fitclub 00:36:52

Course Description

Participants will navigate a variety of surfaces, including grass, compacted gravel, forest trails, and bridle paths, which are closed to horse riders for the duration of the event. The course is a single lap with only two brief sections where participants will encounter others coming the opposite way. Trail shoes are recommended.

Starting in the field adjacent to the top car park near Go Ape, the route heads slightly uphill across the neighbouring field before joining the bridle way (the bridle gate is removed during the event to avoid crowding) with a right turn. Participants then follow a series of turns through a mix of bridle paths, trails, and grass, eventually exiting near the top of the field where they first joined the bridle path. At this point, they make a right turn and pass behind the totem pole, continuing down a compacted gravel path on a gradual slope, entering the forest trail for the final 2k.

The course then follows the off-road cycle route and forest trail before rejoining the path where participants had entered the woods earlier. After this short two-way section, the course concludes with a straight finish across the field where it began.

As always apologies for any errors or omissions. This will be on our club website where kit can be bought and also memberships £11) paid. (some have expired recently)
