I made my debut here as we were visiting friends in Great Malvern. It was a slightly slower course as there was a huge rowing event on the nearby River Severn so that we could not run the 1 and 3/4 laps. We ran a horseshoe shaped course mostly on tarmac with some larger gravel parts with puddles.
Usual Course Description
Worcester Pitchcroft parkrun is an almost pancake flat course which takes place predominantly on tarmac paths with the notable exceptions of the start and finish sections.
The course is 5km, 1 3/4 clockwise loops around the outside of Worcester Racecourse, that starts on the wide gravel path near the toilet/changing facilities on the east side of Pitchcroft Park. The route initially heads south towards the Swan Theatre for approximately 500m before a tight right turn across the racecourse. After crossing the hard-standing and racecourse, you turn right again in front of the Grand Stand and then follow the tarmac path all the way around towards the start. (Please keep to the left on your first lap.) The course then retraces the first lap past the Swan Theatre and over to the Grandstand, but as you run along the side of the river you will be directed across the grass to finish at the north end of the racecourse and welcomed by our friendly volunteers.

Also note that cancellations may occur or alternative courses used due to other events.
Facilities
Worcester City Council have kindly provided us access to the toilet facilities situated between the Swan Theatre and the Pitchcroft Allotments. The café does not do hot food so we went to a nearby one which was really good. Wayland's Yard.

I was really pleased with my fastest since last May and took the BFC record from Helen Sarah! I was 5th in the Age Grades, but, for the 1st time since May I also was NOT 1st in the old M65-69 category, so I didn't have it all my own way. When we visit again it will be tempting to repeat this one although there is also Worcester parkrun and Tewkesbury.

Course Description
The parkrun course at Colwick Country Park is 5km long and is made up of 1 lap of the main lake and 2 laps of the smaller west lake.
The route starts alongside the Colwick Adventure Centre and the west lake and follows the main path clockwise around the smaller west lake. After approximately two thirds of a lap of the lake participants split off to the left through the woods to then complete a lap of the larger main lake. Following the lakeside path clockwise, participants will reach the main entrance and fishing lodge, proceed along the straight main drive and then continue clockwise on round the south shore of the lake and past the marina. On nearing the Adventure Centre again the route will split left. Complete a further lap of the small lake to finish.

Course Description. It is near Tavistock.
A one lap, anti-clockwise trail course through woodland on well established paths in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and part of the Cornwall & West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. Starting on the path just south of the high ropes course and heading north with a flat start, the path takes in some of the old mine buildings before winding downhill towards the river followed by a steep climb then a fast flat section finishing close to the Trail Centre car park.
