A total of 450 parkrunners took part at Southsea parkrun event #524

Ian Saynor was near his best here, his 3rd fastest, also James Yorke with his best since November. Stef Arnold and Faye Michelle Ridgway bettered their PBs by 1:54 and 3:09 respectively, their fastest at any parkrun.

Jon Olsen ran his best since November 2023 and Paul Harrison his fastest since October 2023.

Our former member Bella was 3rd female.

Course Description

A flat course starts on the Torbay Velopark Cycle Track located next to the Torbay Leisure car park and heads anti-clockwise for two laps before exiting the track through two gates on to a gravel path leading on to Clennon Field for a one lap passing Clennon Lake around the football pitches and Astroturf pitch, finishing by the Velopark gates.

Sorry No Dogs allowed at Torbay Velopark parkrun.

A total of 59 parkrunners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #167. The course had dried out quite a bit.

Yarian Slevin, myself Denise Courtney and Olivia Scammell made the top 10. Yarian Slevin in his new spikes ran another PB his 12th in 20 parkruns, this time improving his best by 30 seconds. It was my best run here since April 2024 and Kevin Aylward ran his best since August 2023.Denise Courtney also did well with her fastest since March 2023 .Dean Rockett and Alex Marathon both ran their best of the year.

In the Age Grades, I was 2nd and John Bucketsofrain 7th.

Course Description

The course is within a country park setting, starting and finishing by the Everyone Active Hart Leisure Centre (Fleet) entrance. It is 2 laps on mixed terrain, mostly compacted gravel paths. There is a hairpin turn and areas of contraflow, please always keep right on the contraflow sections.

The course can flood which may mean occasionally the event cannot take place, please check our Facebook page before travelling.

Becci Knowles debuted here and is now our fastest, taking the crown from Ian Briscoe
