I made it 44 members ran at 10 different parkruns.

A total of 54 parkrunners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #168

Julie Allan Fuller, Maria Tucker, Nikki Harris and Yarian Slevin all made their top 10s. In wet, slippery conditions, not many fast times were possible. Julie Allan Fuller was 7th and Maria Tucker 9th in the Age Grades.

Better conditions here enabled some very good times. Kim Stroud PB'd by 1:03 as 7th female, Louise Griffin was 2nd female in her best here since just before lockdown in March 2020. Paul Ingleby wa snear hgis best time, James Yorke ran another good time, and Michael Rae his fastest since Novembere 2023.

The winner was 3 minutes ahead of 2nd place!

Course Description

The course is, broadly speaking, an out and back route with two clockwise laps of a disused golf course in the middle. Gathering point is the basketball court near the children’s playground (https://what3words.com/lakes.coffee.deputy). First 350 metres are on grass along the treeline, between the football pitches towards the north, then right to the main path down to the crossroads, at which point you will go straight and then take a hard right along the hedge into the old golf course. When you enter the old golf course, you will turn left to take two clockwise laps of it. On leaving the old golf course, you will be directed towards the crossroads, then returning the way you came, straight on past the basketball court, left at the top, then back along the tree line, round the tree stump carousel and to the finish.The golf course section is undulating and entirely on grass or trail.

Course Description

Southwark parkrun is a flat 3-lap course taking place in the southern half of Southwark Park. The start and finish are on grass but 95% of the course takes place on tarmac. We recommend any participants who require an accessible start that’s not on grass to get in touch with the event team (southwark@parkrun.com) so we can direct you to our accessible start point.

We meet under trees on the edge of the playing fields near the Gallery and head to the cricket nets for the pre-run briefing and start line. After three laps, the finish line and finish funnel is off the path on grass. The 3 laps are not all identical: at the fork near the end of each lap, the course takes the longer right-hand route on the first lap and the shorter left-hand route on laps 2 and 3. We encourage participants to keep right where possible on our course and to overtake on the left when there is enough room to do so safely.

I debuted here at another London course. I just managed to better our record of 21:59 held by Jason Smith and it was my fastest since May 2024

A total of 411 parkrunners took part at Dinton Pastures (Wokingham) parkrun event #281

Course Description

The Dinton Pastures parkrun route is a 2-lap course on the west side of the park. It starts at the bottom corner of White Swan Lake by the gate to a car parking area and a path accessing the main lake. The first lap runs anticlockwise around White Swan Lake, taking in Tufty’s Corner, and the second lap runs around the west side of Black Swan Lake until the path to the bird hide, which you take around Herons Water until the top of White Swan Lake, which you then follow around (bypassing Tufty’s Corner) until the start. The footpath is mostly compacted gravel and very flat and in dry weather regular road running shoes will suffice. If it has been raining recently the paths will have puddles and areas of the course can get muddy and potentially slippery so, if you have them, trail shoes would be better.
