A total of 518 parkrunners took part at Preston parkrun event #565

No doubt Pompey playing was the reason for being in West Lancs.

Luc Semmens and Paul Wade both debuted.

A total of 653 parkrunners took part at Southsea parkrun event #528, where they went back to the original start at Speakers Corner where it all started in 2013. Having only 1, rather than 3x180 degree turns and good conditions helped many excellent performances from our runners.

Louise Griffin was 3rd female finisher, Paul Osborne in 7th place equaled his PB!. Keith Caunt ran his best time since January 2020, Neil Griffiths his 4th best of 92, Anthony Wood a 1:58 PB, Libby Osborne a 14 sec PB, Carrie Richardson Haunstrup her 3rd fastest and Paul Harrison his best since October 2023.

Katherine Newell tailwalked. Paul Osborne was 9th in the Age Grades.

Course Description, Mortimer Forest.

The course starts and finishes at the Vinnalls car park. An initial anticlockwise loop is followed by 2 clockwise laps on undulating, scenic forest trails. There is a short section which is particularly steep, narrow and potentially muddy and slippery when wet.

The course may not be suitable for buggies - please contact the team in advance for further advice on the course.

There is an open central spectator area.

On a much drier course we had another visit from James Baker. It was his 19th in 171 so 11% of our runs. That is a good endorsement as he's run over 400 and we are his 5th most run event already. Jack Ingleby ran his 3rd best here in 2nd place, Yarian Slevin smashed 45 secs off his recent PB with me in distant pursuit, although my best here since April 2024 and quicker than mt Southsea run 2 weeks ago. Paul Ingleby ran a 18 sec PB just behind me, Alanna Burchett was back for her 1st parkrun since May 2022.

Alex Marathon ran his best since June 2024. I was 3rd and Jack 5th in the Age Grades.

Course Description (Woodbridge, Suffolk)

A mixed terrain course covering a predominantly one lap route. The start and finish are close to the main car park and toilet facilities. The route takes place within the Tangham area of Rendlesham Forest, travelling through the sculpture forest, out and back, venturing to the upper section of the forest, passing the old airfield before returning down to the finish. The natural environment provides a beautiful backdrop for participants to enjoy.

Course Description

A truly varied course, starting at the farm shop itself, completing a short 1km loop before heading down to our own fishing lake and through our beautiful fields, right in the heart of the East Devon Countryside alongside a beautiful stream. The course finishes next to Oscars Cafe.
