Town Moor parkrun Newcastle-upon Tyne
Course Description
The course is a single large 5km loop. The course begins about 200m outside the northern boundary of Exhibition Park, behind the Wylam Brewery.
Continue over the start line and follow the path anti-clockwise around the southern edge of the Town Moor. The path heads north to the large gate onto the Great North Road (Forsyth Road gate). Pass this gate and continue ahead as the path veers north-west. Just before a small exit gate, turn left and head south to a marshalled cross-roads (x-road 1). Turn right here and heading west run through a small marshalled gate (gate 1). Continue heading west until another marshalled crossroads (x-road 2). Turn right to head north all the way to the gate onto Grandstand Road. At Grandstand Road the runners will pass through a marshalled gate (gate 2) and turn sharp right to run along Grandstand Road on a footpath and then turn sharp right back onto the Town Moor through gate 3, also marshalled.
The route takes the left-hand fork just after the gate (also marshalled) and carries on towards the Forsyth Road gate. At this gate (marshalled) the route heads west to the first marshalled crossroads (x-road 1) where the route turns left to head south towards the finish line.

Central parkrun, Plymouth
Course Description
The start and finish is by the Meadow cafe, near the clocktower within the park. The route is entirely on paved paths. A short out and back past the mini golf, turn right at the clocktower down the hill towards the tree lined avenue, another out and back towards Pounds House, back through the wooden arch, back up the hill and repeat the out and back past the mini golf to the finish line at the cafe. Note that the park is very well used by dog walkers and cyclists!

Great Salterns parkrun
A total of 74 parkrunners took part.
Paul Griffin, myself, Yarian Slevin and Julie Allan Fuller all made the top 10. Helped by the other 2 men to some extent, I somehow ran a course PB by 18secs, my best anywhere since my much-mentioned injuries in June 2024 and in fact the best since Southampton in September 2023. Post Brighton Marathon bounce?? I was also top in the Age-Grades, and it was my 2nd highest ever percentage.
