Aviemore parkrun
A total of 106 parkrunners took part.
Gordon Scruton debuted up in the Highlands. I still hold our best time of 21:42 though.
Course Description
This is an undulating out and back course on a scenic stretch of the Speyside Way. The surface is a gravel track and the area varies from broadleaved woodland at the beginning, to coniferous forest and then finally heather moorland.
The run brief will take place at the start of the track which leads away from the industrial estate. Participants will then walk (around 100m) to the start/ finish on the Speyside Way.
At the 2.5k turn bollard, take a second to look to the left to admire the mountain view over the Cairngorm National Park. After collecting your timing token, walk back towards the briefing point, where scanners will be located.

Course Description
We start with a small loop at the bottom of Broadwater Park, then do a clockwise loop of the lake, past picnic benches into the woods on the north side of the lake, before returning to the lake. We turn off the lake path for a loop on the trails of the old golf course, before re-joining the path in Broadwater Park. We do a second loop of the lake, woods and old golf course and finish back in Broadwater Park, between the path and the baseball court.

I was RD on an eventful day as well as Jack Ingleby finishing 1st near to his PB, Dad Paul Ingleby getting a 14 sec PB and also Yarian Slevin being not far off. All 3 were in the top 10 in a bigger field than normal. In the Age Grades, Jack Ingleby was 3rd, Paul Ingleby 7th and Yarian Slevin 10th.
