John Bucketsofrain still holds our record with 25:10
Course Description
This alternate route is an out-and-back course around the stunning Melton Country Park, with participants keeping to their left at all times. The start is 200m from the car park by the large wooden bridge. Participants will head anti-clockwise from the start over an undulating course on a mix of tarmac and dirt paths before turning around at the bottom of "40 Oaks" and heading back the way they came. Participants will pass by open water and through a small car park in both directions. The finish is a short uphill through a small forest section, ending right next to the cafe and the car park.

A total of 401 parkrunners took part.
Course Description
One continuous lap on a mixture of stone tracks, sand dunes and beach. This unique parkrun takes in stunning views of Woolacombe bay and beyond. It is an excellent opportunity to run amongst rich and diverse wildlife and habitats. Held on National Trust land within the North Devon AONB.
The route is mostly on sand and includes dune descent, ascent as well as long stretches on what can be sometimes soft sand. Therefore, it may not be suitable for all types of buggy. Please contact the team in advance for further advice on the course.

One of the hardest parkruns in the UK, some say 2nd, some 4th most difficult. Jason Smith ran here for the 1st time about 7 minutes outside his normal time. Our fastest is still Gordon Scruton with an excellent 25:17. For context the top-rated local runner in our area, James Baker has run 21:13

Land’s End parkrun
A total of 216 parkrunners took part.
Course Description
Pre Event Briefing by the Bandstand.
Walk to the start by the Parking Hut using the stony path. Run along the tarmac road (road closure in place) and then turn left onto the cycle path.
Then it is approximately 1.5k out and 1.5k back twice along the cycle path, returning along the stony path (which runs parallel with the road) to the finish by the model village. It is hillier than you think, but flat for Cornwall!
Finish by the Model Village.
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at this event, with the exception of assistance dogs.

I ran a 51 sec PB before going to the Wickham Festival. I was 8th in the Age Grades but for the 1st time since before lockdown, was outside the top 3, in 4th in my Age Group. This was due to the age range that generally attended the Festival I reckon. These stats hepled me when I was injured last year to give me more confidence.
The woman in 1st, will be recognised by Jason Smith as she and her husband (Stubbington Runners) met us at the National Running Show a few years ago.
