Course Description

Mainly a tarmac path around Shinewater lakes. First section is on grass around a field then continues on the tarmac path around Shinewater lakes to finish off with a final lap of the field. Very flat course with the potential to get a PB every time.

The course route is around lakes & small drainage streams. Please ensure children are closely supervised and dogs are kept on a short, handheld lead.

Please note there are occasions when we use an out and back course using the same start / finish area.

Eden Project parkrun (Bodelva, Par)

Course Description

The course starts by the ‘Banana’ coach and car parks and skirts the top of the crater before descending into two and two-thirds anti-clockwise laps which zigzag inside the crater, passing around the Core and in front of the Mediterranean and Rainforest Biomes. On the final lap you turn right for the finish line when you reach the en-trance of the biomes. Free entrance to the Eden Project

Course Description

Two laps of a fast, scenic, traffic-free course. The course uses a tarmac path that loops the lake, you run the loop in a clockwise direction (water on your right hand side). The start is 1k from the main carpark in any direction around the lake.

A flat, circular, 2-lap clockwise course around the perimeter of Clapham Common. Start and finish located close to the double "redgra" football pitches by Broomwood Road near the Bandstand.

Course Description

Out and back route on part grass/part concrete coastal path with start and finish on the green outside the Perch café. Approximately the first kilometre is out and back on the grass, then up a short steep incline and onto the flat concrete coastal path for the remainder.

Jesmond Dene parkrun

A total of 375 parkrunners took part.

Course Description

The course starts and finishes just above Millfield House near Pet’s Corner and runs through the dene on a path parallel to Red Walk. It follows a few left and right turns, taking you round to 21 steps and a steep hill up to Paddy Freeman’s Park. There is a big loop followed by a SMALL LOOP(at which point I went the wrong way adding 250 metres!) of this park before descending a steep hill and back along the path to the finish.

Due to steps on the course it may not be suitable for buggies - please contact the team in advance for further advise on the course.

Dogs are not allowed at this event.

Spanish Banks Beach parkrun

Course Description

A double out and back course along the gravel trail at Spanish Banks Beach. Participants set off to the East, and complete a short out and back section before running a longer stretch to the West. Passing the finish area, the first out and back section is repeated, and then participants head back to cross the finish line. The start/finish line is close to the Spanish Banks washrooms and public parking.
