Southsea parkrun

Another large total of 624 parkrunners took part.

3 runners were not far off their course best times. Yarian Slevin, Ian Briscoe and Ethan (Carrie Richardson Haunstrup), however Dianne Timbey did run a personal best by 12 secs. Katherine Newell volunteered.

Upton House parkrun (Poole)

A total of 598 parkrunners took part.

Course Description

The course consists of two big loops and one small loop within Upton Country Park in the order big - small - big.

To find the start and pre event brief gathering point, follow the path from car park past the tea rooms and through the gate.

Shortly after the start, turn sharp left to start the first anti-clockwise big loop which takes you downhill through woods and left onto a path which meanders through an open meadow. Towards the end of the first loop at the top of an incline you pass the finish funnel and keep straight on, passing the start point again. At the next junction, carry straight on to commence the small anti-clockwise loop. There will be runners in both directions for a short stretch at the start/end of this smaller loop so always stay right. At the top of the hill turn right to start the big loop for a second time. As you near the top of the incline on the second big loop, head left into the finish funnel on the grass.

The course is mildly undulating and offers stunning views over Holes Bay.

Ballina Coast parkrun (New South Wales)

Course Description

Ballina Coast parkrun is a beautiful one lap course run in a clockwise direction following the Richmond River shoreline. Starting in the south eastern corner of Missingham Park. From the starting point participants run west along the path towards the Ballina Swimming Pool reaching the turnaround point and continuing back along the course, veering to the left along the path as you approach the start/finish line behind the skate park and over Missingham Bridge. Veering right at the second pathway over the bridge and continuing out to the marine watchtower turnaround point. Retracing your steps down toward Missingham Bridge. After crossing the bridge follow the pathway past the skate park and turn left back across the finish line

There was a course PB for Robert Marsh by 17 secs and for Reuben of 5 secs completing a good day for the Millham family as James was 1st (Alex Marathon). The courrse was quite wet today. Denise Courtneywas 8th female, and Craig Lunn and Robert Marsh were in the top 10.
