Bognor Regis parkrun

A total of 367 parkrunners took part.

Course Description

This is a 4 lap course consisting of an initial short lap followed by 3 longer laps around the paths and alleyways of Hotham Park and its perimeter. Starting near to Hotham House and the Bandstand, participants follow the pathway past the Boating Lake to a crossroads where they turn right across the miniature railway track. They continue to a sharp bend where they turn right again and head back towards the start to complete the first smaller lap of approximately 700m.

On the subsequent 3 laps they turn left at the crossroads following the path South West running past the Hotham Park cafe and the conservation area and turn right into the wide alleyway that runs parallel to the Park. A short run along the alley and a near 180 degree right turn back into the park brings them back to the crossroads from the opposite direction, where they turn left and head back down to the sharp right turn. On these laps approximately 150metres further on they turn left across the miniature railway tracks followed by a quick right that takes them on the path back to the main Car Park past the Wildforset Falls miniature golf course before joining the main path back to the start area. On the 3rd of these laps you finish on the path to the left of the Hotham Park House and Bell Tower.

The course is completely flat and on well maintained pathways with one slightly narrow section of about 20 metres.

The cafe in the poark was good too.

Nikki Wright, Helen Sarah and myself ran at Bognor for the 1st time. Great to see Aggy & Helen Dean here. I was 6th in the Age Grades.
