Broadwater parkrun (Godalming)

A lovely parkrun by a large lake. 3 of us debuted and I have taken a record from Ian Briscoe (23:29) for once & I was 6th in the Age Grades.. 25:39 is our female record by Becci Knowles

Course Description

We start with a small loop at the bottom of Broadwater Park, then do a clockwise loop of the lake, past picnic benches into the woods on the north side of the lake, before returning to the lake. We turn off the lake path for a loop on the trails of the old golf course, before re-joining the path in Broadwater Park. We do a second loop of the lake, woods and old golf course and finish back in Broadwater Park, between the path and the baseball court.

Teignmouth Promenade parkrun

A total of 450 parkrunners took part.

Course Description

Route A This is run entirely along the 3 laps of the promenade which is flat and paved. The course is run in an anti-clockwise direction between the Yacht Club and the lighthouse by the point car park. This course is very picturesque and runners will experience the beautiful coast line as they run.

Route B (back up) Route B, in case of not being able to use the main Route A, is entirely on permanent paths within Eastcliff Park. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course or signs will be in place.

Killerton parkrun (a 2nd Devon event this week)

A total of 339 parkrunners took part.

Course Description

This is a scenic one-lap anti-clockwise multi-terrain course run entirely on National Trust land. The cross-country route follows grassy tracks and stoney trails across open parkland, through woodland and working farmland. Parts of the course can become muddy during wet weather and is shared with horse-riders, farm vehicles and livestock. The route is marked with both permanent way markers and hi-vis temporary signs. The start and finish line is a 10 minute walk from Killerton's visitor car park, cafe and toilet facilities. Trail shoes recommended.

Please note dogs are welcome at this event but due to the nature of the course we ask that they should be on a short hand held lead, and not on a waist harness.
