A total of 266 parkrunners took part. (As far as I can see their lowest total since December 2023)
Despite the conditions, of course this did not stop Katherine Newell as a Timekeeper.

Cranleigh parkrun (Surrey)
The Course
The course is 5k long. The course is at Knowle Park, Cranleigh. The course is run on a mixture of park footpaths, public footpaths and grass. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain.
Course Description
This is a two-lap anti-clockwise course with the start around 50m west of the Knowle Park car park - briefing area on the lakeside lawn just the other side of the children’s playground. The course initially follows all-weather paths round the edge of the new park and around the lake, then onto a soil path before rejoining all-weather paths, before heading onto grass and along a hedge line up and down a lovely HILL. The second lap is a repeat of the first, with a left turn onto a grass field for a short out and back to the finish line.
Normal trainers or road shoes are fine when the course is dry or firm. In icy or very wet conditions, which often prevail from November through to March, trail shoes or studs are highly recommended. Spikes are not allowed because of potential damage to the prepared paths.
A total of 146 parkrunners took part.
Helen Sarah, Nikki Wright and myself contined our recent tourism on a wet day, although my usual luck with the rain stopping strangely at 9am didn't actually happen, it certainly did abate a little at 9am for about 40 minutes! We are our 1st runners here and I was pleased to be 2nd in the Age Grades out of 146.

Horsham parkrun
A total of 371 parkrunners took part.
Course Description
Horsham parkrun is 3 laps anti clockwise around the outside of the park, starting on the opposite side of the pond to the assembly point following the path to join the main course. Follow the path uphill keeping the playground on your right. Taking two left turns you complete a short "C" shaped section before turning left past the skate park. After a short uphill to the north end of the park you bear left following the boundary of the park all the way to The Rec Rooms where you go round the "metallic tree" and join the path back to the lake. After completing 3 laps there is a short break off to the left to finish.
During winter months trail shoes may be appropriate.
