A busy week and the following are the races that I know that BFC runners took part in over the last 7 days.
Wednesday 15th July - Lakeside 5k Series Race 4

A very warm race, but Jack absolutely smashed it, finishing 4th out of 64 runners—an outstanding performance. Huge congratulations as well to Lisa for completing the run in such challenging conditions. Great effort from both of them!

The first time this event has taken place, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable day. It would be fantastic to see even bigger BFC numbers if it returns next year.
I was a little nervous myself, as I'd never raced on a track before, but everything went smoothly. I was delighted to improve my 5K PB for the second time in just two months! Having ideal racing conditions certainly helped, and it was great to see everyone put in such strong performances.
