Parkrun report from Saturday 23rd March 2019.We begin, where else, at the birthplace of parkrun: Bushy Park near Hampton Court. Here some 34 Baffineers made their 2nd pilgrimage to the first parkrun to celebrate the 50th runs of Matthew Hedley, Jon Olsen, Rich Harris Roty and Alison Southwell, and the 150th of Steve O'Shea. Many, many Bushy PBs, too many to mention but you can see from the full results. The times were altered from those originally posted with most getting even better times.. Dissecting these times I found an APRPB (all parkrun PB) for Matt Mathew Hume of 1:49, also for Lee Collier-Williams 0:35 and 2nd week in a row(0:57 off in 2 weeks), Carol Carberry 1:16, James Yorke 0:21and finally after a few weeks just missing out, Dave Ollie Oliver by 0:01!Alex Yorke and Kim Biggs ran their 2nd fastest parkruns anywhere, Jacquie Jones her 3rd and Colin Southwell his 4th best. A total of 458 runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #289. Emma Jolley was 1st lady in one of her fastest here, Keith Caunt paced by Michael Rae, Jason Smith and Gary Cook smashed a 0:14 PB. Lucy Hunt bettered her previous best by 0:31 and Karen Maund improved her best by 0:15. Fiona Cfb ran her best time since November 2017. Paul Wade continued his comeback well with his best since August 2017, Tracy Kyle made her debut. Fiona Shaw also continued her rich vein of form with her best since August 2016 and got 12th best age-graded time. Emma Jolley had 5th best age-graded time.

I will be at Southsea this Saturday 30th March for my 250th parkrun, where Katherine Newell will also be volunteering for an incredible 250th time! It will be great to see all those regulars and those coming down especially. Please bring £1 to put in a bucket collection and wear a hat for Wear a Hat Day for Brain Tumour Research ( a subject close to our hearts in BFC) organised by our friend Debbie Pentland.
Oh, and there will be cake! Many will go for breakfast after and if the new Briny is too packed, we will go to Deep Blue on the Pier.
