A total of 484 runners took part at Southsea parkrun event #311. It was back to the westerly wind but not as strong as the easterly last week and a bit cooler. Portsmouth Joggers had a massive contingent here for a 'parkrun takeover' and I made it 38 but we had 35 I think including members of both clubs. Kevin Friery ran his 3rd fastest at Southsea, Paul Ingleby ran down there and still was only 2 seconds behind his PB. Paul overtook me after I had put in a huge effort to get past him. A great battle. Performance of the week has to go to Sarah Spragg who smashed her 4 year-old PB by 0:03 seconds. Nothing to do with being in the Buzzards the last few weeks I'm sure!!!
