A huge total of 840 runners took part at Southampton parkrun event #388. Sonny Locke ran a PB here by 0:06, his 3rd in a row and Chris King ran his 2nd fastest parkrun and wife Denyse King ran a Southampton PB by 1:17 on a day when a large number of Vegan Running Club met on the Common Fellow Vegan Runner . Louise Griffin made her speedy debut here as 5th lady.

Finally, total of 319 runners took part at a windy Southsea parkrun event #324. Volunteers included Alice Bird, Duncan Gardner and Katherine Newell. No PBs here where only 4 went under 20 minutes, but it was good to see Fiona Shaw, Paul Daniel Norris and David Sharp back running well. In fact Fiona Shaw had the 4th placed age-graded time (Michael Rae was 9th and me 2nd). One of the funniest sights was seeing a guy using Billy Jules Bilton as a windbreak near the finish. When we spoke to Billy at breakfast after he said the annoying guy had been doing it all the way back from the turn and that he had been trying to shake him off by zig-zagging but he just followed Billy's course! Still Billy Jules Bilton it was a good time in those conditions for you and you did get rid of him with your famous sprint finish.

These results will be on our website at www.baffinsfitclub.co.uk as usual where all info about the club and Emma Jolley 's Pilates and Roisin Barnard 's sports massage are also. Emma is not having Pilates on Monday 23rd but will be back for a 10:00 am only session on Monday 30th at the Baffins Community Centre. Pity, I could do with it after the Marathon on 22nd.

Good luck to all running the Half, Full and Ultra Coastal marathons this weekend. The weather looks dry and not too cold but underfoot will be very wet. Also have a great Christmas and New Year.
