Brett's parkrun review for 2nd March 2024
We begin locally for many where total of 48 runners took part at Great Salterns parkrun event #115. The course, in my opinion, was the wettest I've seen it, indeed the area was wetter than at any time in the 28 years I've lived around here.
Jack Ingleby continued his great sequence of runs, coming 2nd in a 28 sec PB, his fastest in any parkrun and his 5th PB here in the last 6 runs. The 1st placed was the brother of Helen Newman, of course also son of Geoff and Alison Newman. He has only run 5 quicker anywhere!
Alex Gannon was 10th (8th male) and near his fastest here, and Sam Winton 9th male. Maria Tucker was 10th female.
To put Jack's & Alex's times into perspective, many other BFC runners were 2 mins outside their best.
With an influx of good runners from locasl clubs, Jack was 3rd and myself 6th in the Age Grades.
